My biggest takeaway from good omens season 2 that I haven’t seen anyone talking about is god being absent. In season 1 god narrated and told us the story as if they were actively watching and involved, but in this season god abandoned us.

Of course after the finale I felt that emotionally as well but like, I was so used to hearing god’s narration that I could feel it’s absense in this. It is comparative to the Bible (shocker) in that god was present and active in humanity to a point, then they had to figure it out on their own.

Actively seeking God in periods of waiting yields the best gift of all—knowing Him better.

How to wait? Contrary to expectations, waiting often involves action. There are things both we and the Lord can actively accomplish during waiting for things to happen.

We should talk to God through prayer about our concerns, dreams, and desires. Read His Word diligently to learn more about His character and love. Develop patience and grow as our faith is strengthened and stretched by God.

Then, we will begin to see what God does and will experience God in a deeper and more personal way.

it is so strange to go to the grocery store and realize that 65 percent of the people there just hate me and will always hate me. i mean it’s not like i didn’t know before. but i don’t think people in blue states will ever understand that level of sheer hopelessness and total demoralization and i wouldn’t wish it on them. if you love or even just know a southerner please realize that we can hear what you’re saying about us and it’s not just one wall of bigots here. people are already talking about refusing aid to states like texas and florida in the case of another natural disaster and i am begging you to realize that we fucking live here too.
